Maria's photographs have been published in Communication Arts, Archive, Graphis, Print, American Photographer, Photo Design, and AR100, among others. Her work has won numerous awards, including a Cannes Lion and a national ADDY.
Her love of being on location started, when as a child she left Slovakia, lived in Austria, then Canada and at the age of ten moved to the United States. She studied Fine Arts and holds a BFA in photography. Her assignments have taken her from New Zealand to South Africa, Berlin to Kuala Lumpur. She loves to capture that perfect moment when time stands still.
